Unless your kayak has a crack, leaks primarily occur in the following areas: seams, ends, hatch rims, bulkheads, skeg housings, or fittings. Eddyline performs quality inspections on all kayaks that leave the factory, however, leaks can develop from various sorts of stresses such as freezing and thawing. Most small leaks can be stopped using simple sealants. We recommend using either 3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant Fast Cure 5200 or Sikaflex®-291. We do not recommend silicone sealants.
