How should I transport my kayak?Updated 3 months ago
Eddyline kayaks can be transported on your vehicle in a variety of ways. Our sit-on-top models transport very nicely with the deck down on padded bars. Our sit-in models can be transported cockpit-side down, on their sides, or cockpit-side up using appropriate carriers such as saddles, stackers, or J-cradles. Straps should be tightened to be snug, but there is no need to excessively cinch them down and potentially damage the kayak. Lines from the bow and stern of the kayak to secure attachments at the front and rear of your vehicle are always a good idea. However, take care to secure any loose ends as driving over them can cause serious damage to both the kayak and your vehicle.
